WWE Capitol Punishmet

leave a comment »

Well where can I start if like me you stayed up in the UK to watch this PPV that was punishment enough. Now to be fair I haven’t watched any WWE TV over the past couple of weeks and because I have not been sleeping to well I decided I would watch last night.

I wish I hadn’t bothered and just played Football Manager all night!

First up we have the United States Title match Dolph Ziggler Vs Kofi Kingston. To be honest this was the match of the night with some real nice spots and a good fast paced match. It really didn’t deserve to be the curtain jerker. There were lots of nice false finishes too.

The match was going nicely until the very end. Dolph locked in a sleeper hold, he blatantly used the ropes at one point in front of the ref so he could continue the hold, now as the ref saw this surely that should have been a break. As the hold continued Kofi started to lose conciousness again I have no problems with that, until the ref just called for the bell! Now forgive me but I have several things to be picky about here, firstly the ref was behind the men, how could he see how Kofi was reacting? Secondly why did he not do the tried and tested way to see if someone was out by lifting their arm up 3 times?

If they had done this the whole crowd would have known Kofi was out and could have understood what was going on but as it was it killed any heat the match had been killed when the ref just called for the bell without any explanation at all. I don’t think it really helps Dolph either as the new champ.

Winner and New United States Champion Dolph Ziggler

We go to the back and see R-Truth arriving carrying Cena’s belt which he stole recently, he says he is going to a party. Eve tells him she doesn’t know who he is anymore and he goes on to say nobody knows him anymore. I think I have said it before and I’ll probably say it a few more times during this blog but R-Truth is awful on the mic, he maybe ok when he is rapping but trying to deliver straight dialogue it is painful. I would go as far to say he is a bad as Hulk Hogan, sorry Hulk has improved lately so goes above him in my book.

We have one of the things WWE is good for and that is the video promos for matches. This time it’s for the contest between The Miz Vs Alex Riley.

Now Riley showed he has got some ring skills in this match and he has proved that he has got IT when on the mic. The only problem I have is where does he go after the programme with the Miz. I am not sure he is a good face as the crowd reaction to him tonight wasn’t really that great. Again this match wasn’t too bad and even the ending was ok.

Miz who for some reason still carries a brief case around (you’re not Mr Money in the Bank anymore) tried to use the case on Riely. Now the ref for this match was an observent ref and he cut him off and Riley hit a big DDT on Miz.

Winner: Alex Riley

As I say where this leaves Riley I don’t know and the Miz who up till a month or so was World Champ. I am not sure were either of these men go now, I can’t think of any feuds that these guys will now get into.

Ah yes now we get to see the “President” for the 1st time. Could the not have had a guy who looks a little more like Barack Obama? Anyway this silly segment leads to Vickie Guerrero pretending to Marilyn Monroe getting escorted away by the “Secret Service”!

Time for another video package and its all about Big Show getting run over and the subsequent feud with Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio makes his way out and as he starts to walk down the aisle Big Show runs out and attacks him. As they fight down to the ring Mark Henry then attacks Big Show in revenge for a previous attack. Now this was a good attack and show going over the announce table and then taking a Worlds Strongest Slam through the Spanish Announce Table.

Now, Big Show is down on the floor having not made it to the ring, Del Rio is in the ring yelling at the ref to count, forgive me if I’m wrong the bell hasn’t started for the match yet the ref starts to count. So as the ref gets to 8 Show manages to get into the ring. Now we get to the 2nd screwy ending in the first 3 matches. After Big Show mounting a small comeback Del Rio manages to lock in his Arm Bar finisher only this time on Show’s leg. Now Show manages to get to the ropes and gets the hold broken, the ref then goes to check on Show who tries to stand up, as he has trouble the ref calls for the bell. Now once again we had no I Quit from Show or anything just the ref calling the match. If show had been that bad Del Rio would have pinned him soon enough, there was no need for the BS finish. What I think is it is still more of this PG rubbish when they don’t want a man seen to be to badly hurt, so they ring the bell.

Winner by BS…Sorry as the opponent unable to continue Alberto Del Rio

One of the things that made me laugh with this was how Big Show hobbled to the back it looked like he was using the trainers as crutches, the way the size difference was.

After more rubbish from the completely incomprehensible R-Truth we get Wade Barrett taking the mic from Josh Matthews and comes out to the ring and he has a go at Americans saying they need a Queen or a King and in 20 years they’ll all be speaking Chinese. This was good stuff from Wade and I like this side to him, I just wish they would acknowledge where he was from properly, he is from Preston not Manchester, do some simple geography, just because you don’t know where it is doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be billed from there.

Anyway we have Wade Barrett Vs Ezekiel Jackson for the Intercontinental Championship

As the match starts the crowd as chanting USA USA, now at this point on Twitter Jim Ross noted that Jackson wasn’t from the US either so I did a little search and found he was from Guyana. But hey lets not let the facts get in the way of Americans not understanding there are places outside of their own boarders.

This was a typical big man match and didn’t do much else. When you have 2 big men like this it is hard to do much and as much as I am a Wade Barrett fan he is not over enough to help carry a guy who WWE want to push because he is just big. Wade can go in the ring but Jackson is limited in my opinion. Indeed the end came after a few body slams and a Torture Rack, wow high intensity ‘Zeke.

Winner and New Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson

You could tell the crowd wanted something else from this match as they were chanting for Zack Ryder during it (there is no point in chanting for what you want guys Vince won’t listen he knows what we want to see).

Up next is a match that has the potential to have been match of the night in CM Punk Vs Rey Mysterio it was nice to see some decent in ring action again with 2 guys who have been on top of the world. You know what you’re going to get with these guys, Rey will do all the high spots and get the crowd involved and Punk is just solid and tells a proper story in the ring.

It was a nice finish as Punk blocked a 619 after Rey had previously blocked a GTS. As Punk did block the 619 he got Rey on his shoulders and did hit the GTS.

Winner: CM Punk

I wonder if now Punk can get back in the mix for the WWE Championship?

It was then time for the World Heavyweight Championship Match Randy Orton Vs Christian

I had high hopes for this but again it was spoilt by bad refereeing and announcing at the end of the match. Orton didn’t look himself during this match and I like Orton, but I also think it was a poor move to take the belt off Christian only a couple of days after winning it, he could have been a big draw as a face champ and made loads of money but hey Vince knows best.

However I have to say there was some nice action in this match and I suppose it did tell a bit of a story which is what you want. But we must address the finish. Orton went for an RKO but Christian blocked it, he then hit a big spear on Orton but only got a 2. As Christian tried to come off the top rope Orton got out of the way, and as has become custom he hit the RKO from nowhere. Now as Christian fell his leg was under the rope, even before he moved it at 2, the ref again was looking at it. I could understand the ref not seeing if he was out of position but he was right there looking at it.

Winner still World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton

So tonight we have had 3 shockingly bad ref decisions and I am sure they have all been booking decisions but it treats the fans like idiots and is so unnecessary. By this point I could see why I hadn’t bothered with WWE for a while. Slammiversary and you can find my report here http://www.tnauk.wordpress.com/2011/06/16/tna-presents-slammiversary-ix-shown-in-uk-on-challenge-tv-15611/ was a much stronger PPV and iMPACT Wrestling has been far more entertaining.

We go to a promo for the Main Event (I say main event but it has R-Truth in it so take it with a pinch of salt) so you think it is up next, however I am sure you can almost hear Vince scream “fill fill fill, we are going to be short of time. I know I have an idea” and we get a “Special Bonus Attraction” Even Bourne Vs Jack Swagger.

Wow that has got my juices flowing. No offence to the 2 competitors but I think Even Bourne is a poor AJ Styles and Swagger has never been top of my list of guys I want to see in WWE. Bourne managed to win but it wasn’t even with his AirBourne move which he landed on his feet as Swagger moved out of the way. No he won with a crappy roll up. I can see women’s matches ending like that but not a match that had been bumped from probably a Dark Match to the 2nd highest match on the card.

Winner: Even Bourne

Before we continue we have the “President” out to give us an address. I won’t go into it just that he said he wasn’t the Anonymous GM and I agree with him that JR should be on commentary more. After this Booker T got in the ring and told the “President” to join him in the ring and we got him doing a Spinaroony after Booker, wonderful thanks for that Vince, that is what I watch wrestling for…Sorry I said the W word whilst writing a WWE report.

Now it really was Main Event time (I am still using the words Main Event loosely) for the WWE Championship John Cena Vs R-Truth stop laughing little Jimmy at the back yes I said R-Truth in the main event.

So now we get into it and Truth who just doesn’t inspire me at all had a lot of offence in this match. Now we know there is a lot of Cena haters on the internet but I give the guy credit, a lot of the time he can carry opponents to a decent match, however here I just didn’t enjoy it, probably because of who he was against. Once again for the finish we had a questionable decision when a little “Jimmy” at ringside who R-Truth went to talk at. I think the poor kid had no idea what he was saying and though he was asked to cool down, so he threw his drink over him. Is that not a DQ and although R-Truth wouldn’t win the title, the ref was watching? So Truth should have won by DQ by this point (I didn’t want him too but fair is fair) Cena then threw Truth back into the ring hit the AA for the win.

Winner and still WWE Champion John Cena

So Cena struggles in this match and a quick drink in the face and he hulks up and wins. We are getting Cena pushed like an old style Hulk Hogan. I am not to fond of this and I think the public will get sick of it very easily and we could have this till Mania next year. Cena needs better opponents to make him look stronger not people like Truth who is a midcarder at best. I wish Vince would listen to the people a bit more and stop burying his head in the sand.

This was one of the worst PPV’s I have seen in a long time and doesn’t make me want to watch WWE programming, I may watch this thing on Monday where the fans are supposed to be in control, but it will just be them wasting money texting when the show is already written. Also I bet fans in the UK can’t watch they forget about us with these things. As for the UK viewers am I on my own in thinking it would be good to have a British commentary team maybe William (don’t call me Steve live on air Booker) Regal and possibly Roddy Piper and a British lead announcer? Just throwing it out there.

Anyway thanks for reading and I’ll catch you again tomorrow with the weekly iMPACT Wrestling report only on http://www.tnauk.tk you never know I may throw in a Monday Night Raw one on here too over the next couple of days.

TNA Impact (Wrestling) Shown in UK on Challenge TV 17th May 2011

So the show opens with a PO’d Hulk Hogan backstage with the “Lead Pipe of Doom” in his hand waiting for the Network Exec to show. Bischoff shows up and calms him down telling him to play the game. Bischoff has been gold during this whole angle, he acts well much better than Hogan who is so wooden and can’t do any expressions whatsoever.

Out in the ring we have Jeff and Karen Angle who want to call a truce with Kurt, now you know this is not going to happen as Kurt has his big reveal tonight. Jeff is as good as ever here saying nice things about Karen, they even have a big hug. She says everything that she did was wrong and they want to put it in the past. This is a nice build to Kurt coming out. Which of course he does! He tells them it’s too late it’s done, however he will wait till later to reveal who his mistress is because the Network have asked him too. This keeps everyone watching to know who it is (if you haven’t read spoilers of course). I also like the way Kurt gets in a shot about how she will eventually take Jeff for everything he has too. I like the way TNA give guys or certainly the top guys a lot of freedom with their promos. Since the took the kids out of this angle it has got better, sometimes wrestling and real life blurring together make good angles and this has become one of those times. Kurt eventually tells Jeff it is someone he knows!

We now have our 1st match and it is strange because last week Mickie James and Miss Tessmacher were fighting now they are teaming against Madison Rayne and Tara. This basically continues the feud between Mickie, Madison and Tara of course Madison has to beat Mickie at Sacrifice (don’t forget exclusive blog up tomorrow straight after PPV at 2am on http://www.TNAUK.tk). After the match Tara walks off, who would blame her all that screaming and listening to that god awful voice Madison has. Sorry but am not really a big fan of Madison.

Ric Flair returns to our TV with little or no build now we know he had a bad arm but come on you could have given him some build and tease he could be the Network Guy a little better. Anyway Flair comes into Hogan and Bischoff’s office and they have a little argument about the Network and all make up within 3 minutes. Bloody awful am sorry come on TNA you can do better!

We see a Limo arrive wow, this must be the Network Exec, cut to a break that is all were getting no clue at all.

Tara is in the back so we have continuation of the Limo at all. Tara says she hopes Madison looses and she will be free blah blah blah, guess who is behind her? Yep Madison heard the whole thing and says she will make Tara’s life miserable after Sacrifice.

We now go to Tommy Dreamer who tells the cameraman to leave him alone as he has a life outside of TNA! Tommy is good here this is what Tommy Dreamer should be, not knowing which way he is going and a bit of a loaner, Dreamer does it really well. AJ Styles appears from nowhere and challenges Dreamer to a match, they have a little back and forth argument which ends with Dreamer saying no one knows who her really is. This is taking Dreamer into a nice dark place as a character and I really like it.

Still no more wrestling we now see Sting having photographs taken and being asked about RVD. He says he is one of the best ever and puts him over nicely. He is asked about the Network guy and Sting says he’s here and soon it’s showtime!

Well at least now we are back in the ring with Beer Money and they call out Matt Hardy and tell him they know that his partner for the PPV is Jeff and to just introduce him and stop wasting time…Yeah I know the feeling. Matt comes out and says it is not Jeff who’s his partner at Sacrifice but someone James Storm knows well. The music of Americas Most Wanted hits Wild Cat Chris Harris comes out looking a little bigger than last time he was in TNA! This would have been good if Harris looked a bit leaner, looks like he has put weight on since he left WWE  where he had an unsuccessful run. He just doesn’t look believable looking like the pillsbury dough boy with long hair.

My word we have another match I know it is out 2nd of the night and it a rematch of that classic from last week Sangriento Vs Suicide. Once again Sangriento picks up the win in a passable match. It was only a filler again though, tonight wrestling seems to have been an after thought because of everything else going on!

Out in the ring now are the Jarrett’s, Hogan Flair and Bischoff as Hogan demands the Network guy gets out here right now. Tyres screech and Mick Foley makes his way down to the ring. He reveals himself as the Network Exec and tells Hogan the show isn’t about him or Immortal any more the show is about wrestling! Yeah that is why we have only had 2 matches in an hour! The show is no longer TNA it is called Impact Wrestling. Foley says he calls the shots and tonight the main event will be a 25 man over the top rope battle royal to decide the number 1 contender for the World Title at Slamiversary.

Foley then goes of to introduce Kurt Angles partner for Sacrifice and it’s none other than Chyna. As she strolls down to the ring Karen looks distraught. So there you have the big announcements. How good and how long Chyna will stick around for is anyones guess, as for Foley being the exec that is not a bad thing Foley is good in that sort of roll. I just hope they stick to their word and the focus is now on Wrestling.

In the back we see Foley who says it’s great to be back and how he’ll make a difference. He was upset Hogan didn’t hit him as he wanted to fire him and Flair. He goes on about the main event and says Jeff Jarrett is in it and if Karen is ringside he wants Chyna there too.

We find Anderson (still no more wrestling on IMPACT WRESTLING) who goes on about it being Foley who has held him back and how he will love throwing the 24 other people out in the battle royal.

At last again we have another match and it is a 3 way between Crimson, Abyss and Samoa Joe. These 3 have had their differences and this was a good match with the finish coming when Crimson hit Abyss with a spear after he had given the Black Hole Slam to Joe. After the match Joe is behind Crimson when Abyss comes up and takes him out . Joe leaves the ring and says if you live by the sword you die by the sword. Abyss hits the Black Hole Slam on Crimson and stands in the middle of the ring showing his missing teeth. This keeps Crimson unbeaten as a singles competitor and builds to the match with Abyss at the PPV.

In the Back all the competitors for the Main Event are ready and RVD says he will have a front row seat as the winner will be his first defence.

The Main Event is a typical Battle Royal ending up with Mr Anderson…Anderson, Bully Ray, Angle and Jarrett. As Angle and Jarrett are getting involved Karen keeps trying to grab at Kurt. As Kurt goes after Karen Jeff puts him over the top Karen gets in to celebrate however out of nowhere Chyna hits the ring and tosses Jeff out she grabs Karen and starts to choke her out but Jeff manages to pull her out the ring and they run for their lives.

So we are now left with Anderson and Bully Ray, who I have said week on week really fits the main event as a singles competitor. After they exchange blows Ray puts Anderson over the top but he survives on the apron. He grabs Ray in a headlock and pulls him over onto the floor. So there you have it Anderson is number 1 contender again. He gets the mic and does his stuff and tells Sting he’s like the Navy SEALs were to Osama Bin Laden. He’s locked, loaded, and ready to go and he’s going to give Sting a headshot.

Sting is with Anderson backstage and tells him he is happy for him and he’ll be even happier when he shuts his mouth up in the ring. What I am liking about TNA or Impact Wrestling, – really confused by the name change or lack thereof, when you see PPV you will understand why,- is how there is no real defination of who is a face and who is a heel at times, it makes it easier to suspend reality. Anyway basically Anderson says when RVD shows up he doesn’t care who wins as he promises at Slamiversary he’ll be in good form and he’ll be and equal opportunities Asshole.

Overall a decent show, the reveals were what we expected, maybe not Chyna that came a little out of left field. However if they are going to be called TNA Impact Wrestling or just Impact Wrestling, that really needs to be defined. They really do need to have more wrestling on the show 2 matches in an hour is not enough and 4 in a 2 hour show is definatly not enough ok 1 was a battle royal so I will judge it on next weeks show.

One final time don’t forget to check my blog on Sacrifice PPV exclusively on http://www.TNAUK.tk tomorrow online straight after the PPV finishes 2am in the UK see you there.

TNA Impact Shown in UK on Challenge TV 9/5/11

leave a comment »

Sorry this blog is a bit late but had a bit on yesterday and didn’t get round to writing it.

So we start off what looks to be like the show had started Immortal are already in the ring and RVD and Sting trying to get into it. Hogan goes on about Sting hiding behind people and how he is fed up, and he demands to know who the Network guy is. Sting teases Hogan and says that he or she will be at Impact next week. A fight breaks out with Hogan even swinging a punch before he shuffles out the ring, it was poor D-Lo Brown who took the “Big Right Hand” from Hogan. As all hell breaks loose Fortune rush the ring and Immortal gets out of there, Hogan had only just managed to get out the ring by this point (although I do sympathise with him about the bad back lol).

Robert Roode who now seems to want to go by the name of Bobby gets on the mic and cuts an awsome promo, saying how he got into wrestling because of Hogan. He goes on to say that basically Hogan Bischoff and Flair have bled the company dry over the past 18 months. They talk about Jay Leathel being fired, which now makes me wonder if this is a work and they are going down the same route WWE took with Daniel Bryan?! At the end of the promo he says to Hogan and Immortal “Next week things are gonna change”.

In the back we have a continuation of Karen and Jeff believing that Velvet Sky is the woman Kurt has been talking about and they tell her to get herself to the ring. This is good stuff for once with this angle, I know I have been critical of it but it finally has gone in a direction which is good and gets the kids out of it which I didn’t like. All the while Karen was talking here Velvet was just in a towel.

We then see TNA’s newest Mexican high flyer Sangrieto. Why do TNA feel the need to do this, Sin Cara hasn’t got over as Vince would like and already been put on Smackdown!

Matt Hardy is in the back on the phone to someone and says he has a special partner for Beer Money, this teases a possible Jeff return.

Next match we have two masked men as Sangrieto facing Suicide. This was just a match to introduce Sangrieto, who I do wonder if he will be around for very long.

Hogan tells us how great it was to hit D-Lo and says he may hit the Network guy next week. It also sets up that Hogan has said this week how he may get back in the ring. Good god he can barely move I can’t think of anything worse than watching this.

Bully Ray and Gunner Vs AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels is up next and ends in a no contest when Bully Ray threatens the ref with the chain and Tommy Dreamer comes out and gives AJ a brutal pile driver. This looked good and gives Tommy something. When we come back from the break he is smashing things up like he is unsure of what he has just done. Will be interesting too see where they go with this.

We see Winter giving Angelina some pills, going on about some nonsense of crossing eons of time to find her again. What is all this about and do we really need to see someone being force fed drugs?

Back in the Impact Zone and Karen calls out Velvet who answers her by coming out. Karen goes on about Velvet be practically the only female in the back not to hold the Knockouts title. Karen says she has only got in league with Kurt to get to the top but tonight that will come to a hault. Karen has booked her in a handicap match Vs Winter and Angelina.

This whole thing is not good, we basically have 2 women going on about sleeping with people to get too the top. Velvet said she wouldn’t do that unlike some, looking at Karen!

Kurts music hits and he comes out and says he has come in peace and has spoken to the Network and promised he won’t do anything he’ll regret. Tonight Karen gets her handicap match but it will be Kurt and Velvet Vs Jeff, Angelina and Winter.

Bischoff is in the back complaining how everyone can make a match tonight. Murphy and Rob Terry come up and offer to take Kurt out. Bischoff gets mad and says they haven’t proved anything to be in Immortal so puts them in a match against each other and the looser is out!

After we see Crimson looking for Joe who he can’t find we go back to the ring and we have Murphy Vs Rob Terry. This is a decent contest with 2 big men which Terry ends up winning. So what does this mean for Murphy is he out of Immortal where does he go from here, myself am not sure. As for Rob Terry he could be a massive Monster Heel if the push him right. In the back Hogan says he is done with both men, so does that mean Terry is out too, it is just a bit confusing and it is this cluster f*** booking that does my head in.

In the back Joe and Crimson meet and Crimson tells Joe to stay out of his way. This is a nice build to a match somewhere along the line.

Next we have a Knockouts title match with Mickie James taking on Miss Tessmacher. All this is to reintroduce Miss Tessmacher and the fact she is now going to be an in ring performer. She looks good and has a long entrance and a nice teasing the men gimmick and she is a decent enough worker. Mickie was never going too loose this match and wins with her DDT. Nothing more to be said really.

After the match Madiosn and Tara come out and Madison wants a rematch for the title. Mickie says she can have one but to get her match she had to put her hair on the line and asks what Madison will put up. She replies anything so Mickie says if she looses Tara is free from Madison’s personal service contract. Madison agrees so I guess we have a match for Sacrifice. Which I will be reporting on for http://www.TNAUK.tk don’t forget to read on there next Thursday morning it will be the only place to find my blog on that PPV.

After we have seen Kendrick, Amazing Red and Gen me questioning an irate Bischoff about Jay Leathel it is Main Event time.

Jeff Jarrett, Angelina and Winter Vs Kurt Angle and Velvet Sky. Other than Mickie and Tara I think these 3 are 3 of the better female workers around currently, that however is just my opinion. This match just continues the 2 angles and not much else and ends when Velvet hits a double DDT and pins Winter.

After the match Kurt congratulates Velvet and wishes her good luck going for the title but tells Karen she was never the woman. But next week she will be here. I have enjoyed seeing how it will be revealed and will be good to see Karen’s face next week.

In the back Hogan and Bischoff are getting in the car and they teas that Goldberg is coming as across the car pained on is “You’re Next” as they get the knickers in a twist they pull away and the camera pans across to the X Division guys laughing.

That wraps it up for next week, this show was basically a build for next weeks big show which is the last before Sacrifice. Don’t forget I will blog Impact as normal on here Wednesday but the only place you will see the blog for Sacrifice will be http://www.TNAUK.tk well the rating for that show 3* just about passable. See you next week, although I may blog early for Impact if I watch it from the States tonight to make sure I have the blog up before Sacrifice blog next week.

Thanks for reading all comments welcome.

TNA Impact Report Aired in UK on Challenge TV 3/4/11

leave a comment »

Impact started last with Karen Jarrett in the ring with a load of Divas and 2 “backstage workers”. She went through them all trying to find out who Kurt’s mistress was.

Just a pointless segment all bar Miss Tessmacher are in a feud already and to be honest Tessmacher didn’t seem a likely candidate to me as Kurt said you would find out, it was and is always going to be someone who is still to début Just seemed a whole waste of time to me. Last person she went to was Velvet Sky and she and Karen squared off eventually Angelina with Winter came down and attacked Velvet. Winter threatens So Cal Val and tells her to ring the bell for the match. A ref comes down so we have our opening match.

This was pretty much a squash continuing the feud with Angelina still drugged by Winter. She won with a rear naked choke after Velvet passed out.

Winner Angelina Love

We go outside were Anderson arrives in his Monster Truck, Anderson says it is an old truck but has sentimental value. They may as well have said you know this is getting trashed tonight.

Back inside and Matt Morgan is looking for Scott Steiner Just go look in the locker room dumb ass.

Out to the ring and we have Mexican America saying that next week we will salute their flag.

Anarquia will face Chris Sabin in this one. Started of a decent match which was going nice until Sabin came off the top and poped his knee, you could see it on replay and Anarquia quickly rolled him up for the win.

Winner Anarquia

After the match the rest of Mexican America come in and beat down Sabin and force him up to salute the flag, but wait the Guns music hits and out comes Alex Shelly for the save and that’s that.

Backstage again and back to the Morgan Steiner nonsense. Basically they find each other and have a fight, quite a good one if am honest using tables and chairs as well as other stuff it ends after Steiner choked Morgan, Morgan got the upper hand and rammed Steiner into a fridge with Steiner saying he’s sorry. Morgan stands over Steiner saying nobody is going to get in his way.

Back to the parking lot we go and Sting is there and shock horror he takes a baseball bat to Anderson’s Truck puts in all the windows in and leaves the bat sticking up out of the front window.

We go back inside for a match for the TNA TV Title with Champion Gunner Vs Christopher Daniels

Brilliant match and it showed Gunner has talent and is much better off as a singles competitor I think he is the wild card in Immortals pack.

Out to the ring we have Sting who calls out Anderson. Anderson asks if the video he saw was a figment of his imagination. Sting says yes he smashed Anderson windows, Anderson basically says he doesn’t care and he will get them replaced as he’s rich Anderson says as Sting has authority from because he has friends at the Network and he can pick his opponents why don’t the just go at it there and then.

This would be good but as usual with TNA nothing is straightforward and RVD’s music hits.

This is a good segment with RVD building up to the match with Sting at Sacrifice and just putting down Anderson basically he wants Sting to shut him up. This will probably leading to a feud down the line. I like how RVD and Anderson play the Tweener, they do it with just enough of bits to make you like them but also not like them at the same time. RVD wants them these two to settle their differences tonight. Sting says that’s ok and it is him and Anderson tonight.

The segment goes on as Hogan comes down to join the other 3! He rambles on about Sting picking his opponents because of the Network clause. Hogan makes the match a 3 way throwing Bully Ray into the match.

In the back Samoa Jo goes on about something it really is just rambling, going on about him being the best man and he is the omega in TNA. Was really an awful promo that didn’t make much sense going on about him becoming champ.

I always thought Joe could talk but this make me change my mind.

Next up Joe goes on about his match with Crimson and he will beat him as he does everyone in TNA.

Back to the ring and Crimson makes his way out for his match against Samoa Joe.

This was a good match with both men working hard and Crimson showing that he can handle himself, apart from one suplex that didn’t come off 100%.

Winner No Contest

As Abyss came down and beat up on Crimson, this has potential this feud Abyss is solid and I think Crimson can become a massive star.

Anderson in the back saying he is not going to wine and complain. Hasn’t he done that for the past 3 weeks or so?

Kurt says Karen will meet his mystery mistress next week. He says it is nobody she knows. Now if the spoilers I have read are correct they must have had to change the booking or Kurt was throwing a curve ball.

Back in the Impact Zone we have Hardcore Country Mickie James in the ring. She looks mighty fine if I may say so.

She says only things she ever wanted when she started was to be greatest women’s wrestler of all time. I think she has come pretty close. Along with Trish, Mae and Fabulous Moolah.

Bully Rey says he would like to piss the wrestling world off if he became the World Champion, he would trade his 23 World Tag titles for this.

The Main Event of the night is next

Sting Vs Mr Anderson….Anderson Vs Bully Rey

I love the way JB does the intros for World Title matches makes me laugh.

Some really nice 3 way action Bully Rey adds something different in the main event picture. He is so physical and his chops sound like they hurt.

After ref bump Bully Rey really plays up the heel and uses the Lead Pipe but AJ Styles came down and took out the Bully Rey, Sting took advantage and hit Bully with the pipe in the head for the pin.

I liked that a ref came down to count the pin as Hebner was indisposed, just annoys me that sometimes this happens and more often than not it doesn’t inconsistent booking.

Winner Sting

This was a decent main event and it did what it needed elevate Bully and continue his feud with AJ. Not sure where Anderson goes from here though.

Not a bad impact I’ll say 3*

One last thing I hate all the stuff that happens in the back after the main event I don’t think its needed at all.
